Superior Polymer Products developed a cost-effective, non-conductive and resilient filler for Iron Horse Engineering. The railroad industry had specific needs to fill the railway grades where tracks and roadways intersect:

  • Minimize cost to sustain railways
  • Prevent corrosion of steel in rail ties
  • Integrate durable material to maintain safe intersections

Superior Polymer Products developed Epi-fill 240S, a polymer filler that meets all of the industry’s requirements for light rail intersections. Epi-fill 240S has been successfully used across the country in many railroad projects.

Superior Polymer Products developed new bridge repair technology with Albright Contractors, a company specializing in bridge repair and maintenance. Albright Contractors researched a variety of underwater epoxy to extend the life of concrete patches. The project required a custom polymer that would:

  • Bond to concrete underwater
  • Withstand water currents
  • Create a durable patch
  • Be environmentally friendly

Superior Polymer Products created Hydrobond 500, and excelled in all of these areas. Albright Contractors wrote,
“We would like to thank you for participating in our research project. The material works excellent in these applications and time used for the crack repair was less than the time that would have been required to caulk to same area. Certainly SUPERIOR!”

Superior Polymer Products developed a product for Starchase, LLC that would bond on impact and carry load immediately. Starchase, LLC needed the bonding product for the Tag and Track system, designed to allow law enforcement officers to attach a GPS tracking unit to fleeing automobiles. Superior Polymer was the only company that was able to meet Starchase’s specifications:

  • Adhere to a moving vehicle
  • Maintain a bond for an extended time
  • Preserve an explicit center of gravity

Superior Polymer Products developed a proprietary compound that answered Starchase LLC’s specifications by identifying the key requirements for the product- a task eleven other companies could not meet. Superior Polymer also utilized their mechanical engineering expertise to design an effective launch system for the product.
